Almost to Madrid

The time is now 8:50 Saturday morning, and we're about 45 minutes from landing in Madrid, where we have about 3 hours before the flight to Venice. The flight has been smooth so far, but not easy to get good sleep. Outside the window, it has gone from dark to light in the past 15 minutes, and now the attendants are bringing something that passes for breakfast.
